In response to the Trump administration's sudden ban on transgender service in the U.S. military and its "cynical, discriminatory agenda," indie sales and marketing platform BandCamp has  pledged q00% of its share of every sale on Friday, August 4th (from midnight to midnight Pacific Time) to the Transgender Law Center

"Bandcamp is a platform for artistic expression, and all manner of variance in experience and identity, including gender and sexuality, is welcome here," the company wrote in t blog post. "We support our LGBT+ users and staff, and we stand against any person or group that would see them further marginalized."

In February, 400 indie labels teamed with Bandcamp in a similar protest of Trump's actions against immigrants. That day, Bandcamp, and these artists and labels donated a share of sales to the ACLU. Labels participating include Ant-, Epitaph, Merge, Kill Rock Stars and Tompkins Square.
