After his gear was stolen, indie musician Andy Shauf canceled a show in New Orleans, but was bolstered by an outpouring of assistance from his fans.  Fans donated more than $16,000 dollars in two days via a GoFundMe page to help get the band back on their feet.

"We don't have much to offer other than our gratefulness," wrote Shauf. "But if you want to help us out of this hole we've found ourselves in, then we'd appreciate your support."

The group is due to perform at the Riot Room in Kansas City on Thursday. Shauf was just three dates into a sixteen-show run of the U.S. with co-billed with Julia Jacklin.
