Caroline strikes deal with IHEARTCOMIX label | Music Business Worldwide

Universal Music Group’s Caroline has struck a distribution deal with LA music label IHC 1NFINITY, which sits under youth culture brand IHEARTCOMIX.

IHC 1NFINITY will release six digital singles a year, including remix packages, a music video and signature album art.

All releases will contribute to a ‘first of its kind’ shared music video experience that plays into the worlds of sci-fi horror epics and teen movies of the ‘70s, ‘80s and ‘90s.

To date, the label has released singles for Australian singer/songwriter Chela (Handful of Gold), Brooklyn-based electronic musician/producer Pictureplane (Hyper Real), pop artist Gavin Turek (Don’t Fight It) and underground electronic act Mark Redito (So Many Things To Tell You).

“I’m very excited to enter into this next phase of IHC 1NFINITY with Caroline. I hope the world embraces our ambitious ideas in this new approach to storytelling and music.”

“This label has been a passion project for us beginning at the end of 2014.

“We’re proud of the releases thus far and looking forward even more to what the future may hold with such excellent new partners.

“We’ve had a little over a year off between releases now to write and refine the cinematic universe narrative of the label and hope the world embraces our ambitious ideas in this new approach to storytelling and music.”

Piero Giramonti, General Manager Caroline/Harvest Records, added: “On behalf of the entire Caroline team, [GM] Jacqueline [Saturn] and I are very pleased to welcome IHEARTCOMIX to the Caroline family.

“We love what iheartcomix do, are very proud to be their new music partners, and are looking forward to taking their music endeavors to new heights.”
